Job Profile Summary
This role focuses on activities related to the support services functions, such as dietary and food services, environmental services, general facilities, repair and maintenance, parking, sterilization and transportation to ensure all required support activities are completed in a timely manner and meet the organization's quality standards and expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Completes weekly projects as designated by the supervisor.
- Covers shift positions when the department has scheduling constraints.
- Operates of heavy duty electrical equipment: wet vacuums, extractors, buffers, floor machines, auto scrubbers, upholstery machines, pressure washers and upright vacuums.
- Communicates to manager when supplies are needed.
- Participates in accurate inventory and record keeping concerning laundry services.
- Performs beginning and end of shift check-in, and rounds through facility.
- Follows proper procedures concerning infection control, chemical control, hazardous waste disposal and handling.
- Follows proper work safety practices and body mechanics.
- Performs various other tasks to aid the shift they are assigned to by the ES department.
Minimum Qualifications
- One (1) year of related experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of related experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Bilingual.
