Broad Statement of Responsibilities
Create a welcoming and clean environment for clients and staff. Manage the housekeeping team, their schedules, and their duties to ensure efficient and effective management of the facilities and buildings.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in Housekeeping, 2+ years in supervisory role.
- Able to stand for 8+ hours
- Able to squat, bend, kneel, and lift 50 lbs
- Knowledge of various computer programs and the ability to multitask
- Management skills and experience
- Familiarity with industry’s best practices and local vendors
- Leadership experience
- Time-management skills
- Capable of making good decisions
- Able to handle pressure well
- Able to deal with uncertainty
- Familiarity with client admissions and departure procedures
Education
- Required: High school diploma or GED.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in hospitality preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of housekeeping experience
- 2+ years supervisory experience
Special Skills & Knowledge
- Candidates should have the following skills and attributes:
- Must be able to work and communicate well with people;
- Be adaptable and accept changes quickly and easily;
- Be willing to address conflict appropriately.
- Basic computer skills are required with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based products knowledge a bonus.
Physical Requirements
- Routine mobility to include standing, stooping, bending, lifting, walking and running.
- Regularly required to sit and work at a phone/computer workstation.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Directs housekeeping department with assistance of the Housekeeping Supervisor
- Helps in the design systems to ensure efficiency and delineation of tasks related to facility management
- Produces timely and accurate information to communicate with other department heads regarding guest and departmental needs
- Oversees operation of housekeeping function and checks quality of work
- Ensures that client response quality is up to standards facilities are clean and sanitized
- Assists with the organization of client arrivals and departure processes to ensure room cleanliness
- Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the department’s performance
- Assists in the supervision and organization of spa facilities, treatments, and PMS systems
- Submit request for product ordering and inventory
- Maintains communications with the hospitality staff
- Solves problems that arise and seizes control of issues in the building- communicating with proper avenues to create solutions to the details
- Responds to client needs and requests personally
- Other Duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Must have, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
