Lead Hotshot Driver

Duties
- Oversight and coordination of Hotshot Driver activities across multiple operating basins.
- Delegation of driving assignments and work schedules to ensure transportation needs are adequately covered.
- Conducting recurring meetings with Hotshot Drivers and coordinating with the Hot Shot Logistics Coordinator regarding upcoming transportation needs and operational issues.
- Driving company vehicles and equipment, including Hotshot trucks, as needed.
- Completion of timesheets and maintenance of all DOT and company-required records and documentation.
- Maintenance and updating of vehicle registrations and vehicle allocation trackers.
- Aid in shop duties and operational support tasks as assigned by management.
- Performing complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to minimize breakdowns and ensure safe operation of equipment.
- Safely operating vehicles in both high traffic/congested areas and remote field locations.
- Maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Performing other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Skills & Abilities
- Educational background: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 - 3 years of verifiable driving experience required, along with basic mechanical abilities to assist in shop and field environments as needed.
- Other requirements: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and no major violations, successful completion of a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to adapt to changing business needs and operational demands; strong problem-solving abilities and initiative; ability to promote teamwork and collaboration; ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical.
- Ability to stand continuously and walk frequently throughout the workday.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating vehicles.
- Ability to frequently grip and handle tools and materials.
- Ability to occasionally climb, crawl, squat, kneel, bend, and reach overhead.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to push and pull equipment and materials as needed.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including eye protection, hearing protection, protective clothing, and footwear, while in designated work areas.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and remote field environments.
