Job Description
Summary: As the Lead Host Cashier, you play a hands-on role in supporting the daily operations of the Food Beverage department by assisting with team coordination, service delivery, and guest issue resolution. You act as a working lead, helping to maintain service and cleanliness standards, oversee POS operations, and guide team members in the absence of management.
You are expected to ensure a positive, guest-focused dining environment. You will also provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards.
- Assist with training and serve as a resource to team members to support performance, engagement, and adherence to company standards.
- Support daily operations by monitoring work areas, guest interactions, and service flow for quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Serve as a shift lead and escalation point for resolving basic team member or guest concerns, referring complex issues to management as needed.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to review standards and procedures, and assist with employee coaching as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of POS and manual cashiering procedures; manage voids and problem payments according to company standards.
- Inspect tables, stations, and the restaurant area for proper setup and cleanliness; address any deficiencies with responsible staff.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position.
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in a full-service dining venue preferred.
- Accurate cash handling and documentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to guide and motivate peers in a high-volume or guest-facing environment.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to deliver coaching, relay expectations, and assist in conflict resolution.
- Reliable and organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and support shift coordination.
- Flexible to adapt to changing business needs, schedules, and guest volumes.
- Committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safety-conscious work environment.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age.
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
- Verify right to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
- Occasionally push/pull up to 25lbs.
- Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 25lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels.
