We're looking for an experienced Lead Hood Cleaning Technician to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role starts with a fully paid training program at our Atlanta headquarters before you return home to run your own route with a company vehicle and a complete equipment kit.
Training Program
- 2–10 weeks of hands-on training at our Atlanta, GA headquarters, based on your experience level
- All travel expenses covered — flights or mileage, lodging, and meals
- Paid $18–$25/hr during training, based on experience
- Hands-on instruction covering our cleaning process, safety standards, equipment, documentation, and customer service expectations
- Upon completion, you'll return to the Charlotte area with a company vehicle and a fully stocked equipment kit
Responsibilities
- Perform complete kitchen exhaust system cleanings (hoods, filters, fans, ductwork, and rooftop components) in accordance with NFPA 96 standards
- Lead and coordinate on-site work, including guiding junior technicians when working as part of a crew
- Operate pressure washers, degreasers, and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Take before-and-after photos and complete accurate service documentation/compliance tags for each job
- Communicate professionally with restaurant managers and clients on-site
- Drive a company vehicle to and from job sites across the Charlotte area, following an assigned route/schedule
- Maintain and restock your equipment kit and vehicle to company standards
- Follow all safety protocols, including working at heights and on rooftops
Most jobs are performed after hours or overnight, when kitchens are closed.
Requirements
- Prior hood/kitchen exhaust cleaning experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and on rooftops
- Physically able to perform demanding manual labor in varying conditions (heat, confined spaces, etc.)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel to Atlanta for the training period (all expenses paid)
- Available to work evening/overnight shifts as needed
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Leadership experience or the ability to guide a small crew is a plus

Pay
- $18–$25/hr during training
- $1,350–$1,650/week after training
