About the role
A hands-on Mechanic responsible for maintaining and repairing construction equipment, primarily ready-mix trucks. This is a full-time, field-based position requiring PPE use, outdoor work, and travel to various sites. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and professional growth in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trucks and associated systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic).
- Diagnose malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Operate mobile service trucks and maintain shop cleanliness and organization.
- Weld, fabricate, and purchase parts as needed for repairs.
- Support safety policies, mentor co-workers, and provide on-site assistance at other locations.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience as a truck mechanic.
- Knowledge of truck mechanics, maintenance procedures, and safety practices.
- Proficiency with power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance software (experience with Allison transmissions and ESA software preferred).
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively, with physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and tolerate outdoor conditions.
Pay
Compensation starts at $33/hour, based on experience.
