Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field
- Valid teaching license in the state of Michigan
- Experience working with young children in a classroom setting
- CPR Certification (Required)

- Ability to participate in-home visits with associate teachers
- Ability to create and update anecdotal records and portfolios
- Ability to assess family needs and assist with follow-up
Responsibilities
- Work with individual and small groups of students
- Support children’s emotional and social development
- Implement developmentally appropriate instruction
- Follow the daily schedule and GSRP guidelines
- Conduct screening and ongoing assessment
- Create an effective learning environment
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, and other activities
- Assist in the orientation and training of associate teachers
- Collaborate with associate teachers
- Empower associate teachers to monitor behavior and support the educational process
- Conduct home visits with associate teachers
- Conduct 2 home visits and Parent-Teacher Conferences per year for each child in class
