About the role
This position is open exclusively to current Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) federal employees. Applicants must submit their most recent SF50 to verify eligibility. Applications without the required SF50 and other supporting documents will be considered incomplete and will not be forwarded for consideration.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the leader for a non-supervisory civilian employee team composed of GS-2001, General Supply Specialists who perform a wide variety of complex supply support duties involved in accomplishing the organizational goals and objectives.
- Provide technical support for a wide variety of acquisition and supply programs and systems.

- Obtain & maintain a Security clearance
Qualifications
- Ability to plan, organize, lead functions, mentor and motivate the staff of an organization.
- Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
- Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
- Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.
- Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
- Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
