Lead GenAI Engineer

Role: Lead GenAI Engineer (Senior Role)Location: Bay Area, CA (2-3 days onsite/week)Duration: 6+ Months Overview: Focus: Agentic Content-Application Architecture and Orchestration. The goal is to design and build a stateful, headless GenAI application that helps commercial marketers create grounded and personalized content. The application will coordinate multiple agents and enterprise services, maintain conversational and project state, and generate structured JSON or HTML content blueprints that downstream platforms can assemble into finished assets. This is a hands-on senior contractor who must propose the architecture, make key technical decisions and code critical components—not a coordination-only lead. Must Haves: Python, TypeScript, Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore, Multi-Agent Orchestration, RAG Minimum Capabilities:Significant hands-on experience architecting and building production GenAI applicationsStrong Python or TypeScript software engineering and microservices experienceExperience designing stateful, multi-turn and multi-agent orchestrationStrong API-first architecture and structured-contract design experienceExperience building headless services that produce structured outputs for downstream applicationsExperience integrating GenAI applications with enterprise platforms, data services and content repositoriesExperience with RAG, grounding, application state, memory, evaluations and production observabilityExperience building streaming, multi-turn GenAI interfaces with clarification flows, conversation history and error handlingExperience rendering structured responses, including tables, charts, citations and reusable resultsAbility to propose architecture, establish coding patterns, make technical decisions and review other engineers' work, and produce production codeStrong AWS, Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore experiencePreferred:Experience with content generation, content-as-code, personalization or marketing-technology platformsExperience with Workfront, Veeva Vault PromoMats, AEM Assets or comparable enterprise content systemsExperience in commercial pharma or another regulated content environment
