Lead Fulfillment Associate
About the role
The Amazon operations team is looking for Lead Fulfillment Associates with a strong record of achieving results to join the expanding team supporting operations leaders and associates in delivering strong operations results within our fulfillment centers. Lead Fulfillment Associates hold various roles within the Fulfillment Center including, but not limited to: Trainer, Process Assistant and Shipping Clerk.
Responsibilities
Lead Fulfillment Associates will be responsible for communicating instructions to other associates, motivating them and keeping their work areas safe. They will also perform production duties as needed: pick/pack orders, receive/stow product, ensure inventory accuracy, and unload/load trucks.
There are several types of roles that hold different job-specific responsibilities, including:
- Power connector: Maintaining the link between Corporate Retail Teams and the FC, as well as the reporting & re-escalation of tickets submitted to Retail, Vendor Management and Catalog.
- Process Assistant: Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties and communicating with internal and external suppliers.
- Dock Clerk: Manage inbound flow from scheduling appointments to time of receives, including regular communication with carriers, the corporate transportation group, management and dock personnel.
- Receiving Clerk: Scheduling inbound deliveries in dock master using Advance Ship Notices, including regular communication with carriers, the corporate transportation group and receivers.
- Shipping Clerk: Correspond with multiple shipping companies and their contacts, use multiple shipping company’s software to ship and track packages, and coordinate trailers to corresponding dock doors and cross docks using OMA tool.
- Non-Inventory Receive Clerk: Work in a team environment with Procurement to administer the flow of non-inventory goods, organize supplies, corrugate, safety equipment, and tools, and research missing shipments.
- Regulated Waste Coordinator: Functions as the lead for the Waste Program within the FC, providing technical support and tactical execution of the Regulated Waste Procedure, and working in partnership with both Operations and the EHS Teams to maintain compliance.
- Amazon Robotics (AR) Quarterback: Monitoring overall floor health of the robotic field and leading the safe and effective work dispatch for Amnesty Floor Monitors, while ensuring minimum impact on downstream operations.
- Floor Health Monitor: Autonomous, self-sufficient operator, resolving issues on the Amazon Robotics (AR) floor, and helping associates at stations with amnesty processing and prevention.
- Data Analyst: Working closely with the ICQA and operations teams in Inbound and Outbound to provide data and analytical support for ACES initiatives, root cause investigation of defects, and ensuring compliance to ICQA-related SoX requirements.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Have 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- Have a high school or equivalent diploma
- Be able to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Be able to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- A completed Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
- 1+ year of leadership experience directly managing others
- 1+ year working in a like environment (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail)
- Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members

Pay
The starting pay for this position is $23.00 - $23.00 USD hourly, with opportunities for overtime pay and performance bonuses.
