Lead Food Service Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare, assist, or instruct inmate labor and team members in preparing a variety of food items following departmental work production standards, standardized recipes, and institution work instructions.
• Handle production and sanitation paperwork required to comply with facility procedures.
• Clean and maintain all food service equipment and work areas, ensuring proper safety and sanitation practices are followed.
• Follow prescribed institution requirements in all preparation, oversight, and serving of correctional facility meals.
• Adhere to assigned institution housekeeping and safety practices.
• Store food and supplies according to instructions.
• Work in high-volume food production facilities preparing meals for large groups.
• Perform other responsibilities as determined by operational needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience.
• At least 18 years of age.
• 1 year or more of experience working in a food service role.
• Preferred: prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
