We are a licensed C-7, C-10 and C-16 low-voltage systems integration contractor offering fire life safety, fire suppression, fire sprinkler, access control, video management, intrusion detection, structured cable, nurse call, and related electronic detection solutions.

About the role

We are seeking skilled Fire Alarm Installers, Technicians, and Foremen to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of low-voltage systems, including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security, and CCTV in medium and large commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Install fire life safety and other low-voltage systems in commercial buildings.
  • Foremen: Layout and direct HCI installers on-site, coordinate with the Project Manager to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Technicians: Program or troubleshoot low-voltage systems, including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security, or CCTV.
  • Execute installation project plans, including equipment delivery, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
  • Interface with other trades to complete projects while exceeding customer expectations.
  • Resolve field problems by researching multiple alternatives.
  • Meet with code officials to arrange building permits, discuss code issues, and review wiring/installation methods.
  • Coordinate project activities with other trades to optimize installation time.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors and building owners.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/system programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Identify out-of-scope requests and notify management of pending changes.
  • Assist with suggested solutions for efficient installations to complete scope.
  • Address customer questions and concerns on-site in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate project status to management.
  • Complete all required company paperwork.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • EST3 and EST4 certification is required.
  • Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program (e.g., ABC, WECA, WBFAA).
  • Active FLS certification (blue card) is a plus but not required.
  • Must meet background and driving record requirements.
  • Proficiency in industry-related equipment and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, with tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

Qualifications

Journeyman-level installation and troubleshooting experience in low-voltage systems is required. Industry-related NICET and/or CA State Certification is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to work in unusual and difficult positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high-lift equipment up to 60 feet, as well as working in ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment/tools and lifting up to 75 lbs.

Pay

USD $45.00 - USD $50.00 per hour.
