Lead Financial Analyst - Legal Entity Accounting & Reporting
About the role
The Lead Financial Analyst is responsible for the U.S. GAAP accounting, analysis and financial reporting of assigned legal entities and holding companies within a complex corporate structure. This role serves as the primary contract for assigned entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting policies and providing timely and accurate support of consolidated financial statement preparation.
This position partners closely with the Consolidation, External Reporting, Treasury and FP&A teams, as well as external auditors, while driving forward process improvements and mentoring less experienced team members.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary accounting and reporting lead for assigned legal entities and holding companies.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, reporting packages and supporting analysis.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis and supporting accounting for various legal entity specific transactions.
- Support the consolidated financial reporting process and ensure the accuracy and completeness of legal entity results.
- Cook up and support annual audits, regulatory filings and other statutory reporting requirements, as applicable.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic initiatives, capital transactions, restructurings, etc. are appropriately recorded at the legal entity level.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting efficiency.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to analysts and other team members, as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 8 years experience, with degree.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and U.S. Statutory accounting principles.
- Advanced analytical, problem solving, and Excel skills.
- Preferred: CPA / advanced degree.
- Preferred: Experience within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Preferred: Experience supporting complex, international accounting and reporting environments.
Working Conditions
Hybrid (In Office: Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays)
Fast-paced deadline-driven office environment.

Salary
The Salary for this position generally ranges between $97,000 - $129,000 annually.
Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs.
Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
