About the Role

At Automated Logic, a Carrier Company, we provide a work home for seasoned experts. As a Senior Field Engineer, you are the primary technical owner for turn-key project delivery. This role demands proficiency in ALC and/or building automation systems and the flexibility to travel as project priorities shift. We are looking for trusted advisors who can navigate complex system architectures and provide high-level mentorship to the field team. Responsibilities

• Own the install, commissioning, and troubleshooting of DDC systems, delivering full software solutions including sequencing, graphics, and alarms.
• Act as the lead technical resource and mentor for junior technicians, serving as a trusted advisor to customers to ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes.
• Partner with Project Managers to manage risk and align execution, coordinating with teams to ensure clear communication and reliable delivery.
• Travel as needed and stay adaptable to shifting priorities, project demands, and field workloads.
• Demonstrate deep proficiency with ALC products, system architectures, and ASHRAE guidelines to deliver safe, high-performance systems across complex customer environments.
• Maintain expert-level documentation, including commissioning logs and progress tracking, to ensure safe and compliant system delivery.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of professional experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or a related technical field.
• Valid, current Driver’s License and insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as squatting and climbing for extended periods.
• Capable of working over 8 feet above grade and proficient in the use of ladders and motorized lift equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to act as a technical authority and mentor junior engineers in a collaborative field environment.
• Experience executing turnkey building automation solutions with minimal oversight, focusing on high-quality field execution and resource management.
• High skill-level proficiency in integrating diverse platforms and managing complex TCP/IP and wireless networking.
• Advanced diagnostic skills for resolving high-level technical challenges in controls, sensors, and software at the equipment and system level.
• Dedication to delivering site-specific technical training to building owners and operators while maintaining clear documentation.

Pay

The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 and $129,500.00. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may also be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
