What You’ll Be Doing

Safely and efficiently completes daily work and special projects. Assists with facilities staff supervision as needed. Acts as a liaison between management and facilities staff. Inspects buildings and structures for maintenance needs and safety, prioritizing tasks and implementing corrective measures. Schedules and performs preventative maintenance, including carpentry, electrical, painting, plastering, drywall, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical repair, door hardware, concrete, caulking, roofing, and flooring. Coordinates with other departments as necessary, including outside work hours. On-call one weekend per month. Adheres to OSHA standards and completes job safety analyses. Drafts and completes inspection and maintenance reports. Performs research and attends training on proper maintenance procedures. Reads and interprets drawings and diagrams. Maintains equipment and supplies, promoting continuous safety and environmental improvements.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least seven years of experience in commercial building maintenance and/or construction
  • Thorough knowledge of tools and ability to perform basic math operations
  • Ability to learn, read, and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and technical manuals
  • Capable of working at heights
  • Able to lift up to 100 pounds frequently
  • CPR certification may be required based on location
  • Flexibility to work flexible shifts and attend trainings/travel as needed
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
