Lead Fabricator - 1st Shift

Job Summary

MAAC is seeking a skilled fabricator/welder with supervisory experience to lead and assist team members in meeting production goals. After an initial training period, the Lead Fabricator will focus on quality and safety, while also training and mentoring co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of building machine frames and components from structural steel
• Tearing down completed machines for painting and shipping
• Delegating tasks among teams and following up on assignments to ensure quality standards and production timelines
• Continual learning of machine designs and components
• Leading and coordinating fabrication, welding, and component assembly tasks
• Maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring quality of manufactured items
• Communicating with peers to optimize workflow efficiency
• Motivating and engaging teammates in their work efforts

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of fabrication experience with various metals
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Outlook and Word
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills
• Ability to prepare work plans and fabrication layouts
• Proficiency in welding and fabrication skills
• Working knowledge of saw, shear, drill press, forklift, and overhead crane
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints
• Bilingual applicants encouraged (English + Spanish)
