Lead EyeCare Advisor

The Lead EyeCare Advisor at LensCrafters is responsible for creating exceptional value in the lives of customers by delivering the LensCrafters Experience. Key responsibilities include:

• Greet customers promptly and courteously.
• Answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Explain all required paperwork, tests, products, and services, and the appropriate time frame.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully, identifying special needs and consulting when necessary.
• Show patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients.
• Perform work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.
• Identify and resolve situations involving unsatisfied customers quickly.
• Strive to achieve "Exceptional Results" on LensCrafters' annual CEI/Functional Skills that align with brand priorities.
• Handle and file all patient records in an organized and efficient manner in accordance with HIPAA.
• Place contact lens orders, process shipments, and submit invoices for payment.
• Operate the POS system accurately, collecting proper payment following company security procedures and retaining proper change for a variety of transactions.
• Explain "One Hour" processing and expected delivery times.
• Maintain safe working environment for all associates/patients.
• Quickly respond to changes in store promotions with appropriate staff communications, graphics, and point of purchase materials.

Major duties also include:

• Demonstrate good product knowledge and assist customers in selecting frames and lenses best suited for their vision, lifestyle, and budget.
• Take pride in the appearance of the store and ensure visual displays comply with Company guidelines.

Qualifications include:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in customer service, retail, or optical.
• Customer service skills (internal and external).
• Knowledge of current fashion trends.
• Leadership skills.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Organizational and sales skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous experience in customer service, retail, or optical.

Job Description:

The Lead EyeCare Advisor integrates the Brand Story and ensures flawless execution of the patient experience/behaviors, linking the doctor and retail functions together. They perform pre-examination testing with accuracy and attention to detail, providing coaching and guidance to patients on the care and handling of contact lenses, and maintaining contact lens inventory and providing clinical support to the Optometrist as needed.
