Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Understand and follow all JSA’s and safety procedures/policies
- Safely and efficiently set-up and operate extrusion lines to produce high quality HDPE film
- Operate extrusion lines in accordance with job safety analysis, standard operating procedures, quality procedures, and operator training to meet or exceed productivity requirements and minimize downtime and waste
- Maintain proper materials usage in accordance with procedures
- Monitor roll weights to ensure the correct gauge is maintained throughout the shift
- Accurately navigate and input information in production management system
- Complete daily production reporting
- Oversees the safety performance and awareness of the department
- Maintains housekeeping to expected levels
- Ensures consistent product quality for the department including testing methods and use of process improvement tools
- Maintains accurate materials records and adequate inventory of raw materials
- Assists and trains department employees in safety, quality, production, technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, etc.
- Models fairness, consistency, and high level of performance coupled with an exemplary work ethic
- Operates forklift as needed
- Diagnoses and completes intermediate-level repairs
- Maintains and pumps materials from Railcars to the Silo(s)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong computer and math skills required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook preferred
- Excellent communication skills required
- Strong organization and time management skills are necessary
- Experience with product testing, past quality experience required; experience overseeing day-to-day work of others preferred
- Ability to work overtime when required/some weekends and holidays will be required
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen
- Ability to work 12-hour day and/or night shifts

Pay
Starting rate of $25.00 an hour
Schedule
Day Shift- 6:50am-7:00pm
