About the role

As an Associate, you will complete in-store food and non-food demonstrations, acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented, and serve, demonstrate, intercept consumers, and sell products in a professional manner. You will also be responsible for the execution equipment in stores and maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain equipment and supplies used for events to ensure they are clean and secured in the agreed-upon backroom area.
  • When the Supervisor is absent, communicate with store management about upcoming and past events in their store.
  • Serve as the point person for all events conducted in the store when the Supervisor is absent.
  • Assist other Event Specialists with event kits, materials, and tools as needed.
  • Provide leadership and knowledge to the team to assist the Supervisor.
  • Gain adequate knowledge of the products represented and proactively engage, interact, and sell products to consumers.
  • Perform all job responsibilities assigned to the demo program, including communicating product features and benefits.
  • Prepare and serve food samples, including raw meats, produce, and eggs, complying with food safety guidelines.
  • Use small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives to prepare food samples.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
  • Set up and prepare the Event Table for execution and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Complete all assigned work and assist with preparation for client visits and audit corrections.
  • Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
  • Complete expense reports as per Company Policy and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
  • Take digital photos of Perfect Table Setup to document success stories for clients.
  • Report all employment-related injuries to your direct supervisor as soon as possible following an incident.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient ability to use and navigate personal computers and mobile devices using applications and internal systems.
  • Food Safety Professional Certification and local food handlers permit if required.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms (including overhead).
  • Talk and hear, with visual ability to read instructions and perform responsibilities.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, climb (including use of a 6’ ladder), and balance.
  • Lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds).
  • Push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies, and product.
  • Prepare foods using raw products (e.g., meats, poultry) and cooking utensils such as knives, convection ovens, coffee makers, and electric fryers.
  • Be in contact with cleaning supplies.

Working Conditions

  • Retail store environment with limited travel.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and proper grooming, adhering to specific retailer dress code requirements.

Skills

  • English is the primary language skill; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact when the Supervisor is absent.

Pay

$16.50 per hour

Schedule

This role is part-time and not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company maintains discretion to change the role based on business or client needs.
