About the role
The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented, serve, demonstrate, intercept consumers, and sell products professionally. They manage and maintain event execution equipment, communicate with store management during absence of the Supervisor, assist other Event Specialists, provide leadership, and possess the ability to gain adequate knowledge of products and proactively engage consumers.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain event equipment and supplies to ensure cleanliness and secure placement in the agreed-upon area of the backroom.
- Communicate with store management regarding upcoming events and past event execution when the Supervisor is absent.
- Act as the point person for all events conducted in the store when the Supervisor is absent.
- Assist other Event Specialists with event kits, materials, and tools as needed.
- Provide leadership and knowledge to the team, assisting the Supervisor in fulfilling job responsibilities.
- Possess the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented and proactively engage consumers.
- Perform all job responsibilities assigned, including preparing and serving food samples, setting up and preparing the Event Table, and documenting successes through digital photos.
- Absorb and execute client visits, complete audit corrections, and prepare and submit all on-line requirements on the same day as event execution.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient ability to use and navigate on a personal computer and personal mobile device using applications and internal systems.
- Food Safety Professional Certification, local food handlers permit if required.
Physical Demands
- Regularly stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb (including use of a 6' ladder), balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds, push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies, and product.
- Prepare foods using raw products (e.g., meats, poultry), using cooking utensils such as knives, convection oven, coffee maker, electric fryer, microwaves.
- Be in contact with cleaning supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Point of contact when the Supervisor is absent.
Working Conditions
- Retail store environment with limited travel.

Language Skills
- English is the primary language skill; however, bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
