Lead Estimator (Industrial)

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Establish a clear vision for the development of Foth’s estimating competency.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive estimating program (practices, processes, and tools) aligned with our company's goals, industry best practices, and project requirements.
• Continuously improve and enhance the program based on data-driven insights from past projects as well as adoption of the latest tools and techniques.
• Personally lead the estimating process on complex and high impact projects, providing expertise to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and competitiveness while simultaneously mitigating project risk.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Build a high-performing estimating team by cultivating a collaborative, continuously learning, results focused environment.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree with 10+ years’ experience estimating capital construction projects, including design-build and engineering-led construction.
• Experience with multi-discipline industrial manufacturing, including involvement with packaging, process piping, controls, electrical, and facilities.
• Experience having built and led a team.
• Experience with construction cost estimating software (e.g., Means, Richardson, Timberline).
• Experience with current Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) products.
• Travel up to 30% of the time based on business and project needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience within food, beverage, and other consumer products industries.
• Experience with project cost forecasting and tracking.
