Lead Environmental Services Technician

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to the manager in training staff on cleaning procedures, cleaning solutions and products, floor care, project work, and equipment preparation.
• Might train and/or direct the work of Environmental Service Techs.
• Executes general cleaning tasks, utilizes appropriate cleaning aids, and maintains high standards of cleanliness.
• Operates light, medium, and heavy equipment and oversees supply maintenance.
• Safeguards and manages keys; dispenses and collects keys assigned to staff and reports any lost keys or breakages.
• Locks and unlocks doors as needed.
• Reports any building maintenance issues to the manager.
• Follows up on customer complaints and endeavors to resolve issues.
• Performs supervisory duties in the absence of the manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience, or equivalent Environmental Services experience at Emory Healthcare.
