You'll collaborate with senior tech domain leaders, product and engineering teams, infrastructure organizations, and cybersecurity stakeholders to define modern architecture standards, accelerate innovation, and enable scalable enterprise capabilities across the organization. We're looking for a strategic technology leader who combines deep architecture expertise with strong business acumen and healthcare industry knowledge. The ideal candidate is passionate about solving complex enterprise challenges, influencing organizational direction, and building future-ready platforms that balance agility, performance, security, and operational excellence.

This role partners with executive leadership, product teams, engineering organizations, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to drive enterprise architecture strategy with a strong emphasis on:

You combine strategic thinking, healthcare domain expertise, architecture governance leadership, and hands-on technology depth to enable scalable, secure, compliant, and efficient enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Define enterprise-wide technology strategy and architecture standards across a complex healthcare ecosystem, which spans payer, provider, pharmacy, clinical, corporate, and tech domains.
  • Govern digital transformation initiatives.
  • Drive enterprise architecture strategy with executive leadership, product teams, engineering organizations, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 12+ years of progressive IT domain experience
  • 5+ years leading enterprise architecture initiatives within large-scale enterprise environments
  • Experience influencing executive stakeholders and large engineering organizations

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (preferred)
  • Healthcare, payer, or provider enterprise architecture experience (preferred)
  • TOGAF, Azure, AWS, or SAFe certifications (preferred)
  • Familiarity with AI governance frameworks (preferred)
  • Experience with enterprise architecture tools such as LeanIX and ServiceNow APM (preferred)

Work Style

This position is remote, and you must reside in close proximity to one of the following locations:

  • Louisville, KY
  • Washington, DC (Arlington, VA)
  • Dallas, TX
  • Chicago, IL
  • Fort Lauderdale, FL
  • Tampa, FL

To ensure effective remote work, your self-provided internet service must meet the following criteria: at minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps; wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection is suggested. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary.

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.

While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Pay

The pay range for this role is $142,300 - $195,700 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
