About the role

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join the team as the Lead Engineer at the #1 Hotel in Los Angeles, as voted by Travel and Leisure: Oceana in Santa Monica, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing facility maintenance and complete repairs on equipment to keep the property operating
  • Repair any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen
  • Lead the maintenance and repair program of a four-star or five-star hotel
  • Focus on common maintenance issues, including but not limited to fixing machinery, plumbing, heating, and wiring
  • Inspect the building to confirm safety standards
  • Engage with guests and team members in a friendly, efficient, and high-touch manner
  • Address maintenance concerns and escalate issues promptly
  • Maintain and enforce company standards regarding operational processes and procedures related to the hotel’s maintenance program

Requirements

  • At least four years of maintenance experience at a luxury hotel or resort
  • Full-time hospitality schedule defined by operational needs, including weekends and holidays
  • Willingness to conform to hotel dress and grooming standards, including wearing the hotel-issued uniform, no visible tattoos while wearing a uniform, no unnatural hair colors, no piercings other than one pair of earrings, and neatly groomed facial hair
