About the role
Lead Engineer – Mechanical Bias position based in Hull, HU3 2JZ. Working hours are Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate engineering activities within the maintenance team
- Provide mechanical bias expertise for plant and equipment maintenance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults efficiently
- Supervise and support junior engineering staff
- Plan and implement preventative maintenance schedules
- Collaborate with other departments to minimise downtime
Requirements
- Proven experience in a lead or senior mechanical engineering role
- Strong mechanical maintenance background in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Relevant engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND, or equivalent)
Pay
Salary £38,000.00 – £41,295.00 per annum.
