About the role

The Lead Embedded Software Engineer - Audio Comms & Streaming Test Framework plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining test frameworks for audio communications and streaming systems. This position requires expertise in software development, testing, and system integration.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive test cases for audio communication and streaming systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, software developers, and quality assurance specialists to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools.
  • Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in embedded software development and contribute to continuous improvement of the test framework.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development and testing.
  • Experience with audio communication protocols such as RTP, RTCP, and G.711/G.722.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
  • Knowledge of unit testing frameworks like Google Test or Catch2.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and command-line utilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
