Lead Electrical Specialist 1 - Construction Management

This position is expected to be a field assignment in Missouri, United States. The location of the assignment can vary depending on the job and/or client. Per diem is offered for those that qualify.

About the role

The Electrical Specialist will play a pivotal role in overseeing and ensuring the peak performance, reliability, and safety of our client's power plants' electrical systems. This position demands a blend of overseeing fieldwork, strategic planning, and team collaboration to manage greenfield, brownfield, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities across our diverse client range of power generation assets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee greenfield, brownfield, routine, and preventive maintenance tasks on electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, generators, and control systems.
• Drive troubleshooting and diagnostic efforts to identify and resolve complex electrical issues promptly, leveraging technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and safety departments, to plan and execute electrical maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal plant performance.
• Develop, implement, and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment, prioritizing employee well-being and compliance with industry regulations.
• Monitor equipment performance and efficiency, recommending and overseeing the implementation of improvements, upgrades, and modifications as necessary to enhance operational reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain comprehensive records of electrical maintenance activities, inspections, equipment condition, and performance metrics for compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement purposes.
• Provide technical leadership, support, and guidance to plant operators, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Ensure the installed progress and work product are in line with drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements. Highlight any variances or changes in the work placement.
• Track work progress and highlight key activity development in daily reports.
• Support partners and project stakeholders by communicating early and often when problems arise and finding creative solutions to project challenges.

Requirements

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in electrical installations, operations, and maintenance within the power generation industry, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
• Comprehensive technical knowledge and expertise in power plant electrical systems and equipment, including transformers, switchgear, generators, and control systems.
• Proficiency in advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques for electrical systems, coupled with a strategic mindset and analytical capabilities.
• Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to power plant electrical operations, maintenance, and safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel and work in various locations across the United States as required.

Pay

Compensation range: $118,023 – $180,313. Individuals may also be eligible to participate in our yearly discretionary bonus.
