Lead Electrical Engineer – Building Design
Job Description
You’ll help elevate design quality, support client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of the South Facilities & Design team.
- Lead complex projects by overseeing electrical system design and supporting multidisciplinary coordination
- Set quality standards by developing and upholding QA/QC processes and electrical design best practices
- Mentor and develop engineers and designers, providing technical guidance, reviews, and career support
- Support design strategy and planning, partnering with project managers and discipline leaders to deliver effective solutions
- Work directly with current and future clients, serving as a trusted technical advisor and participating in client meetings and pursuits
- Support business growth by contributing electrical expertise during early project planning and opportunity development
- Continuously improve workflows, tools, and standards to strengthen team efficiency, consistency, and innovation

- You bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- 10+ years of experience designing electrical systems for complex building projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Strong experience with power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems for facilities such as healthcare, laboratories, data centers, and mission-critical environments
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Experience leading technical teams, reviewing work, and setting electrical design standards
- Clear communication skills and comfort engaging directly with clients
