About the role
The Lead Dispatcher is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the school bus yard, ensuring all buses are properly maintained, and managing the loading and unloading of students.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of school buses to ensure they are safe and operational.
- Manage the loading and unloading of students, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Coordinate with transportation staff to plan routes and schedules.
- Monitor bus performance and report any issues to management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a similar industry.
- Knowledge of school bus operations and safety standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with dispatching systems and software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay
Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with some evening and weekend shifts required.
