Piper Companies is seeking a Lead/Director, Enterprise Security Design to support enterprise cybersecurity architecture and security initiatives. This role will work closely with Infrastructure, Cloud, Engineering, DevOps, and IT teams to evaluate security risks, design secure technology solutions, and drive enterprise security improvements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise security architecture and security-by-design strategies
- Conduct security design reviews and assess security risks for new technology initiatives
- Lead risk-based vulnerability management and prioritize remediation based on actual business and technical risk
- Analyze vulnerability scanner results, secure code scans, security advisories, and other security data
- Participate in and lead technical incident response activities, including investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Design and support secure solutions across cloud, infrastructure, applications, and data environments
- Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud, Engineering, DevOps, and IT teams to embed security into technology decisions
- Develop security standards, reference architectures, and technical security controls
- Support and enhance enterprise security technologies and recommend security improvements
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience
- 5+ years leading enterprise security architecture, security engineering, or cybersecurity programs
- Strong enterprise security architecture and security design review experience
- Strong risk-based vulnerability management experience beyond traditional vulnerability scanning
- Hands-on incident response experience
- Strong Azure/cloud security experience
- Experience securing hybrid cloud, on-premises, and SaaS environments
- Experience working cross-functionally with Infrastructure, Engineering, DevOps, Cloud, and IT teams
- CISSP, AZ-500, and GCIH certifications
- Strong technical communication and ability to influence stakeholders across the organization
- Healthcare experience is a plus but not required
Pay
$170,000–$190,000 annually
Schedule
- 6-month contract-to-hire
- Hybrid/remote flexibility
- Approximately 2 days onsite per month, with additional flexibility after 6 months
