Lead Dietitian

About the role

Morrison Healthcare is seeking a Lead Dietitian in Manteca, CA. This role oversees clinical care and some foodservice oversight from a clinical perspective, with an opportunity to assess and provide nutrition services for a predominantly bariatric population.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
• Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
• Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
• Contribute to and lead QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
• Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
• Mentorship & Professional Development: Support the growth of clinical and departmental staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with five years of experience
• Master’s degree in nutrition
• Advanced Practice Certification through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), preferred
• Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
• Healthcare experience preferred

• Comprehensive knowledge of nutrition science and clinical nutrition
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills

• Knowledge of nutrition assessment tools and techniques
• Experience with evidence-based practice
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
