Lead Dietary Aide
About the role
Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Lead Dietary Aide position. In this role, you will foster an environment of hospitality for residents and guests under the direction of the Nutrition Services Manager. You will be responsible for the accuracy of diets and meal service in the absence of the manager, working alongside Dietitians, Managers, and Chefs to help prepare food for residents. You will also prepare and serve therapeutically correct diets while following established menu guidelines and may perform some short order cooking for meal service. Additionally, you will enforce all policies and ensure regulatory guidelines for safe food handling and sanitation are in place.
Responsibilities
- Foster an environment of hospitality for residents and guests under the direction of the Nutrition Services Manager
- Ensure the accuracy of diets and meal service in the absence of the manager
- Work alongside Dietitians, Managers, and Chefs to help prepare food for residents
- Prepare and serve therapeutically correct diets while following established menu guidelines
- May perform some short order cooking for meal service
- Enforce all policies and ensure regulatory guidelines for safe food handling and sanitation are in place
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in a food or healthcare setting
- ServeSafe Certification (or willing to obtain within the three-month introductory period)

- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug test
