Lead Diesel Technician

About the role

Join our team providing excellence in customer service and safety while performing fleet maintenance including engine, transmission, and electrical diagnosis.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain customer vehicles and mechanical equipment such as engines, transmissions, and other equipment.
• Perform PMIs on tractors, trailers, and other diesel-powered equipment.
• Perform all types of engine, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairs.
• Test drive vehicles.
• Assist and lead other technicians.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of diesel tech experience required.
• Certificate or degree from a Diesel Training Program preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (e.g., DUI/DWI).
• Must be willing to obtain a CDL if you don’t have one.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

Physical and Safety Requirements

• Move frequently, stand, walk, and sit.
• Frequently use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Read and write reports.

Pay

Pay will be commensurate with experience.
