About the role

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our team. The position offers an Employee Referral Eligible $1,500 Sign-On Bonus.

Responsibilities

• Promote Safety
• Service, repair, adjust, maintain, and test Concrete Ready Mix Trucks and support equipment
• Perform routine preventative maintenance such as lubricating, adjustments, failure analysis, and corrective actions for repairs
• Repair hydraulic hoses, lighting, brakes, suspension, and AC work
• Maintain a clean and well-organized work area
• Inspect Equipment and Material
• Create Work Orders
• Communicate with personnel to ensure proper, safe, and preventative vehicle maintenance
• Use Equipment
• Perform General Physical Activities

Skills

• Previous experience in the mechanical field is required
• MED HVY Truck ASE Certification is preferred
• Must be able to read memos, instructions, and communicate verbally with fellow employees to solve problems
• Basic Math Skills
• Willingness to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises

Pay

The hourly range for this role is between $27.93 - $48.46. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
