Lead Developer - Python , Gen AI

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

• Collaborate with teams outside of Technology to identify and implement novel AI solutions that solve real-world challenges.
• Embed Generative AI into workflows for developing enterprise data products and ML platforms to drastically improve efficiency and developer velocity.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Python applications and services while promoting best practices for testing, documentation, and maintainability.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior developers and offshore delivery resources.
• Partner with security, risk, and compliance teams to ensure all solutions meet enterprise standards for governance, privacy, and ethics.
• Proactively evaluate emerging technologies in the data and AI space to determine their practical viability and business value.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

Requirements

• 6–9 years of professional software development experience with a strong emphasis on Python.
• Strong familiarity in applying Generative AI capabilities, including common patterns such as prompt design, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, embeddings & vector stores, and agentic AI.
• Data centric engineering experience building services and tools within a data engineering organization.
• A "data-first" Python developer who understands the challenges of enterprise data systems.
• Proven experience building and scaling software solutions in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• An enthusiasm for staying current with AI trends and the pragmatic ability to apply them.
• Solid background in DevOps workflows, including Infrastructure as Code, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
