Lead Design Technologist

Location: Remote – US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Compensation: $192,600 – $251,450 annually.

About the role

This role will lead continuous improvement work focused on process discipline, productivity, and measurable operating gains. You will partner with operational leaders and project stakeholders to standardize workflows, identify bottlenecks, and improve execution quality. The position offers the opportunity to create measurable efficiency gains and scalable operational improvements within a technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality design technology solutions across multiple workstreams or domains
• Champion rapid prototyping, user testing, and cross-functional collaboration
• Mentor and guide less experienced designers and technologists
• Identify and implement opportunities to enhance design workflows through custom tooling and automation
• Solve complex design technology issues, optimizing processes and leveraging AI/LLMs
• Demonstrate advanced skills in JS frameworks, prototyping, and motion design
• Lead the co-creation of sense-making artifacts to communicate design concepts
• Drive adoption of best practices in design technology and contribute to continuous improvement

Requirements

• 7+ years experience leading a high-performing design or design technology craft domain
• Fluent with the latest AI product building workflows and fundamentals
• Strong skills in front-end engineering concepts, prototyping, AI tools, and integrations with visual design tools such as Figma
• Experience mentoring and coaching others
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to a wide audience
• Ability to drive cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders
• Familiarity with AI/ML, motion, and accessibility in design
