About the role
The Lead Dermatologist at Stem Health will lead a team of healthcare professionals in providing high-quality, personalized care. This role involves translating complex medical information into understandable pathways for skin health and aesthetic confidence, diagnosing and managing various skin conditions, and collaborating with other departments to offer a holistic health experience.
Responsibilities
- Clarify: Use plain language to decode dermatologic truths, making medical markers meaningful for clients without being patronizing.
- Carry: Ensure seamless continuity of care by collaborating with primary care and wellness teams to maintain a smooth transition for clients.
- Pace: Respect the rhythm of care by providing calm, unhurried environments during extended appointment times.
- Anticipate: Look ahead to identify early signals and provide preventive strategies, helping clients plan for future steps in their health story.
- Fulfill: Deliver visible progress by providing clear closure to care cycles and celebrating milestones in a client's health journey.
Requirements
- Board-certified Dermatologist with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
- Deep experience in both medical and cosmetic dermatology, viewing these areas as integral parts of a singular path toward precision care.
- Strong diagnostic and procedural skills, delivering outcomes that emphasize warmth and subtle, natural results.
- A refined aesthetic eye that values longitudinal data and understands the interconnectedness of skin health with sleep, nutrition, movement, mental health, and social connection.
- Comfort with EMR systems and private healthcare workflows, ensuring that documentation supports a unified health story and facilitates seamless continuity for the care team.
- An ability to embody the "steady hand" approach, offering grounded, evidence-based guidance that avoids fear-based messaging.
Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is preferred, though not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities efficiently.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in dermatology and related fields.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000 CAD annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This is a part-time position with flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the client and the team. The exact schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
