Lead Dental Assistant

About the role

We are currently seeking a Lead Dental Assistant to optimize patient flow, deliver outstanding patient service, and monitor patient satisfaction. This position will report to the Assistant Operations Manager and is at-will, meaning either the employer or the employee may terminate the employment at any time, with or without cause or prior notice.

Responsibilities

• Communicate proper oral hygiene and preventative care to the patient and family
• Assist in the development and training of dental assistants
• Hold all teammates accountable to meeting expectations in achieving our mission
• Support in the supervision of all clinical teammates to include training, directing work assignments, monitoring success and opportunities, supporting appraisal reviews and coaching conversations, addressing and resolving complaints
• Assist in protective stabilization dental cases with compassion
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients (cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.)
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Requirements

• Active EDDA/EFDA certification that meets state requirements
• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
• Extensive experience working in a dental office
• Current BLS CPR certification
• Experience with administration and monitoring of nitrous oxide
• Ability to understand and accurately record patient vitals
• Experience with protective stabilization cases (i.e. head holding, hand holding)

Proficiency with e-Clinical Works is a plus.

Pay

$22.50–$25.00 per hour
