Lead Decision Intelligence Engineer (AI) - NBA

Responsibilities

• Analyze and model business decision processes for member engagement
• Decompose complex processes into measurable and automatable decision graphs
• Identify optimization strategies using rules and models for business impact
• Design and implement production workflows with LangGraph and LangChain
• Build AI capabilities directly into the company's action library for user support
• Integrate LLMs with enterprise systems and manage prompt engineering
• Design retrieval-augmented architectures for reliable decision context
• Partner with data science to apply reinforcement learning within workflows
• Establish evaluation frameworks for AI recommendation and performance
• Implement AI governance measures for safety and compliance
• Lead and mentor a small team of engineers in the Decision Intelligence area
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch production AI capabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning engineering, AI engineering, or decision intelligence
• 1-2 years of leadership experience
• Strong Python engineering experience for production AI systems
• Hands-on experience with LangGraph, LangChain, or similar frameworks
• Experience integrating enterprise AI platforms like Azure OpenAI
• Understanding of Decision Intelligence concepts and metrics
• Demonstrated leadership ability while remaining a hands-on contributor
