Responsibilities
- Analyze and model business decision processes for member engagement
- Decompose complex processes into measurable and automatable decision graphs
- Identify optimization strategies using rules and models for business impact
- Design and implement production workflows with LangGraph and LangChain
- Build AI capabilities directly into the company's action library for user support
- Integrate LLMs with enterprise systems and manage prompt engineering
- Design retrieval-augmented architectures for reliable decision context
- Partner with data science to apply reinforcement learning within workflows
- Establish evaluation frameworks for AI recommendation and performance
- Implement AI governance measures for safety and compliance
- Lead and mentor a small team of engineers in the Decision Intelligence area
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch production AI capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning engineering, AI engineering, or decision intelligence
- 1-2 years of leadership experience
- Strong Python engineering experience for production AI systems
- Hands-on experience with LangGraph, LangChain, or similar frameworks
- Experience integrating enterprise AI platforms like Azure OpenAI
- Understanding of Decision Intelligence concepts and metrics
- Demonstrated leadership ability while remaining a hands-on contributor
