About the role
As a Lead Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions that drive business insights and strategic decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, design and execute data-driven experiments, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders. You will also mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the overall growth and success of the data science team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems.
- Collaborate with domain experts to define and refine data requirements and ensure data quality.
- Design and implement data pipelines and workflows to automate data processing and analysis tasks.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and provide insights to inform business strategies and product development.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations.
- Mentor and develop junior data scientists, contributing to their professional growth and skill development.
Requirements
- A strong background in statistics, machine learning, or a related field.
- Experience with data modeling, predictive analytics, and machine learning algorithms.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Experience with data warehousing technologies like SQL and ETL processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in data science or a related field.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Skills
- Advanced knowledge of statistical and machine learning methods.
- Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
