Job Description
This role involves working in teams that deal with statistical problems, machine learning problems, and data understanding in a commercial technology and consulting development environment. In this role, you contribute to the development and delivery of modern machine learning, operational research, semantic analysis, and statistical methods for finding structures in large datasets.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop analyses to meet customer needs and opportunities.
- Collaborate with software developers and software engineers to implement algorithms in commercially viable projects and services.
- Participate in technical teams in the development, deployment, and application of applied analysis, predictive analysis, and prescriptive analysis.
- Execute introductory and targeted data analyses using descriptive statistics and other methods.
- Collaborate with data engineers for the purpose of data quality control, data cleansing, and data analysis.
- Create reports, write code comments, and gather other project-relevant information to document results, archive them, and share them with others.
- Share and discuss results with the team.
Qualifications
- Advanced experience in the field of Data Science. Relevant Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM fields (Mathematics, Engineering, Natural Sciences, and Technology), or equivalent.
- Proven skills in data quality control and use of analytics for data evaluation.
- Proven competence in the use of applied analysis, feature extraction, and predictive analysis for industrial datasets.
- Proven skills in data visualization and presentation for stakeholder audiences.
- Technical Competencies: Proven knowledge of data management methods.
- Proven competency in the development and deployment of real-time analyses.
- Proven knowledge of industry and technological trends in one or more sectors where GE Vernova operates.
- Proven knowledge in customer and stakeholder management and business metrics.
- Leadership Qualities: High social skills and teamwork ability.
- Proven expertise in critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Proven presentation skills and persuasiveness.

- The pay range for this position is between $92,400.00 and $153,900.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
