About the role

As a Lead Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and efficient data platforms that support our business needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data pipelines are reliable, secure, and optimized for performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data architectures that meet business requirements and technical constraints.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using modern data engineering tools and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to integrate data from various sources into the platform.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through automated testing and monitoring.
  • Optimize data processing workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Document and communicate technical designs and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and SQL.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and data analytics tools.
  • Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
