Lead Data Engineer with Agentic AI experience || St. Louis, Missouri || onsite

About the role

Contract (Long Term) position based in St. Louis, Missouri, requiring onsite work from day one. The role focuses on applied Agentic AI engineering, multi‑agent architectures, and data engineering on Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Build Agentic workflows and deliver them into real‑world projects.
• Design and implement modern multi‑agent architectures where AI agents collaborate.
• Contribute to solution architecture, discuss trade‑offs, and guide design decisions for agentic systems.
• Lead a technical team with strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Google BigQuery, SQL, Python, and Google Dataflow.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Google BigQuery for data warehousing and analytics.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and managing large datasets.
• Advanced knowledge of Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with Google Dataflow for real‑time data processing and ETL pipelines.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Skills

• Applied Agentic AI engineering experience – building Agentic workflows.
• Hands‑on modern multi‑agent architecture experience.
• Strong understanding of agentic frameworks/tools – ability to name frameworks, explain choices, and describe components.
• Working knowledge (preferably applied) of MCP, A2A, ACP protocols and ability to explain their use in AI agent systems.
