Lead Data Engineer/Manager

About the role

We are seeking a hands-on Lead Data Engineer/Manager to lead the design, development, and support of enterprise data warehouse and ETL solutions. This role will serve as the technical lead for a small hybrid team, partnering with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements.
• Develop and maintain data architecture and database design.
• Implement fact and dimension modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas).

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with SQL Server development and administration.
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Experience with enterprise data warehousing.
• Experience with data architecture and database design.
• Experience with fact and dimension modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas).
• Strong ETL development expertise.
• Advanced SQL development and performance-tuning skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with business requirements gathering and stakeholder collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure data technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (Oracle EBS).
• Experience with cloud-based data integration and modernization.
• Experience with data lake/lakehouse concepts and architectures.
• Technical leadership or team mentoring experience.
• Previous people management experience.

This is a 6-month Contract-for-Hire opportunity.
