Responsibilities
- Design and optimize scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data architectures on GCP, aligning solutions with business goals.
- Design end-to-end batch and streaming architectures using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, and Cloud Storage.
- Build scalable data models for analytics and ML.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Data Fusion, Composer (Airflow), and dbt.
- Implement security and governance (IAM, VPC-SC, DLP, encryption) ensuring compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Optimize performance and cost (BigQuery tuning, monitoring).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable analytics and AI/ML use cases.
Requirements
- GCP expertise (ideally Professional Data Engineer certified).
- Strong SQL and Python/Scala; experience with Spark/Beam.
- Hands-on with GCP services, IaC (Terraform), and CI/CD.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Proactive and solution-oriented.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Looker, Vertex AI, or multi-cloud environments.
- Knowledge of real-time data tools (Bigtable, Firestore).
Pay
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $134,316 - $177,350. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The actual compensation offered may vary based on factors such as geographic location, education, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, market considerations, and internal pay equity.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
