Lead Data Engineer – Data & AI, Supply Chain
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines and data products on Google Cloud Platform.
- Build and optimize enterprise data solutions using Dataproc, BigQuery, SQL, and dbt.
- Lead technical design discussions, review code, and help improve engineering quality, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, business, and engineering teams while supporting production issue resolution, mentoring, and Agile delivery activities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering with demonstrated technical leadership on enterprise data projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Expert-level proficiency in Dataproc, BigQuery, SQL, and dbt.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT architecture, large-scale data processing, and data modeling techniques, including dimensional modeling, normalized data models, and analytical data warehouse design.
- Experience building scalable and maintainable cloud-native data pipelines, using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills; experience with Apache Airflow and Apache Kafka.
- Prior experience with PySpark, Python, data quality, metadata management, and data governance is preferred.
