About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for enterprise analytics. This role requires strong expertise in AWS, Snowflake, Python, ETL, and Big Data technologies. The ideal candidate will also provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and collaborate with business and data teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for enterprise analytics using AWS, Snowflake, Python, and ETL technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and collaborate with business and data teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • Lead Data Engineering projects or mentoring teams.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists, Analysts, and Business Stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise data architecture and modern data platforms.
  • Communicate effectively and solve problems within the team.
  • Work with large, complex datasets.
  • Lead technical initiatives.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Data Engineering experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python and ETL development.
  • Expertise in AWS data services (Glue, Lambda, Athena, S3, etc.).
  • Experience with Snowflake and Big Data technologies.
  • Strong SQL and database programming skills.
  • Experience building and optimizing large-scale data pipelines.
  • Data modeling, data integration, and data quality experience.
  • Hands-on data testing and validation.
  • Experience with DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD, automated deployments).
  • Agile development experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Experience with BI and analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of data governance and metadata management.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and lead technical initiatives.

Skills

  • Financial Services domain experience is a strong plus.
