Lead Data Engineer

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery within a mission-driven environment. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to enhance data models and improve data accessibility
• Build scalable solutions adhering to data governance standards and architectural roadmap
• Design, develop, and test data integration solutions, including automated testing
• Manage automated deployments using Git pipelines for efficient code version control
• Streamline deployment workflows, monitoring and troubleshooting performance issues
• Conduct data analysis to resolve data-related issues and build a data quality framework
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance through code reviews and hands-on interactions

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field; or equivalent experience
• 10 years of relevant work experience in data engineering or business intelligence
• Hands-on experience with various database technologies and data warehouse schema design patterns
• Proficiency with cloud-based databases, specifically AWS technologies
• Advanced SQL query optimization within large-scale datasets
• Experience with Python coding and using AI-assisted coding tools
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and agile software development

Pay

$140,000 – $155,000 annually
