About the role

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to partner closely with Deloitte IT and business stakeholders to design and deliver scalable Data & Analytics solutions that align with firm strategy and business objectives. This role will be responsible for defining and governing end-to-end architecture across modern cloud-based platforms, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure services, data warehousing, and enterprise analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Deloitte IT teams and business stakeholders to design analytics and data solutions aligned with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Design, implement, and oversee enterprise data architectures leveraging Azure and other cloud platforms, including data lakes and data warehouses.
  • Own end-to-end solution architecture from requirements gathering and design through deployment and production support.
  • Define and maintain logical, physical, and technical architecture views and supporting design documentation.
  • Establish architecture standards, reusable frameworks, common data models, and governance practices.
  • Ensure non-functional requirements (NFRs), including scalability, performance, reliability, availability, and security, are incorporated into solution designs.
  • Review technical artifacts, design documents, and implementation deliverables developed by engineering teams.
  • Partner with release management and DevOps teams to support solution deployment across environments.
  • Identify technical risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support project estimation, roadmap planning, and technology decision-making.
  • Mentor Technical Leads, Engineers, and development teams on architecture best practices and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology, including 3+ years in a Solution Architecture, Technical Architecture, or Enterprise Architecture role.
  • Proven experience architecting enterprise-scale Data & Analytics solutions.
  • Strong background designing and implementing end-to-end architecture within Azure PaaS environments.
  • Experience translating business requirements into comprehensive architecture and solution designs.
  • Demonstrated expertise designing distributed, highly available, scalable, and resilient applications.
  • Strong technical documentation skills, including:- Architecture diagrams and views - Technical design specifications - Technology blueprints - Solution architecture documents
  • Ability to evaluate emerging technologies, open-source tools, and industry trends and provide architectural recommendations.
  • Hands-on experience with:- Apache Spark - Azure Databricks - MongoDB - Azure Cosmos DB - Redis - Kubernetes - Docker - Azure Data Lake - Azure Synapse Analytics - Azure SQL Data Warehouse - Azure Stream Analytics - Azure Data Factory - Azure SQL Database - Azure Cognitive Services - Azure Key Vault - Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) - Power BI - Azure Application Insights - Azure Monitor

Qualifications

  • MUST HAVE A DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF THE TECHNICAL STACKS, HANDS ON TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ABILITY TO SOLVE COMPLEX PROBLEMS INDEPENDENTLY

Skills

  • Technical proficiency in cloud-native architecture, data platforms, and distributed systems.
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Experience with various Azure services.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
