Lead Dairy/ Frozen Department

Responsibilities

• Prioritize ordering, manage inventory levels, and maintain stocked shelves.
• Ensure all dairy products are fresh, properly stored, and well-displayed. Remove expired items.
• Support creation and maintenance of staff schedules.
• Maintain receiving logs and necessary department documentation.
• Greet customers, provide courteous service, and handle special orders.
• Ensure shelves are stocked, signed, and attractively displayed.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and compliance standards.
• Rotate all products according to policy and remove out-of-code merchandise.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and safely.

Qualifications

• Previous supermarket experience, preferably in dairy or frozen foods.
• Experience with ordering and inventory management.
• Familiarity with dairy product handling requirements.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to complete departmental reports accurately.
• Basic math skills for margins, percentages, and discounts.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
